Online betting exchange and sportsbook operator Betfair has become Liverpool Football Club’s official regional betting and gaming partner.
The firm which currently welcomes new sportsbook players with up to £80 in free bets will be focusing exclusive promotions around matches involving the Premier League side. Betfair is licensed in the UK, Spain, Ireland, Denmark, Bulgaria and Italy and the deal will take effect in those territories.
Liverpool fans can expect to see an increase in engagement from Betfair via the club’s digital platforms, with a heavy focus on their popular Price Rush and Cash Out products. The Merseyside club’s social media accounts will be a new channel for Betfair to promote event specific offers including enhanced odds promotions and money back offers for the team.
Users of the Wi-Fi service at Anfield will be notified of exclusive offers when using the gateway at the ground, while adverts in the matchday program will ensure that the majority of supporters entering the stadium will be aware of the latest promotions ahead of the game.
Betfair brand director Mark Ody spoke of his pleasure at securing a deal with a club of such a high stature “We’re excited to be working with a club of the scale and fame of Liverpool Football Club. Everything about Liverpool Football Club is iconic. The Kop, the passionate fans, the liver bird on the jersey, the entertaining football.”
Liverpool are delighted to have partnered one of the world’s largest betting organisations with their chief commercial officer Billy Hogan adding “Regionalising partnerships means that we are able to work with brands, such as Betfair, in countries where they have the strongest presence and where our footprint can best match their brand objectives. Ultimately this means that we can deliver relevant and engaging programs in those regions.”
Betfair already provide football punters with a generous offering of price boosts, bonuses and money back specials, so Liverpool fans can look forward to plenty of incentives when betting on their team.
