Betway To Host Televised Monday Night Cheltenham Festival Preview Show

Champion Chase sponsors Betway will host a Cheltenham Festival preview show on the night of Monday 9 March for both Sky and Freeview TV viewers.

Queen Mother Champion Chase sponsors Betway will reunite former Channel 4 Racing faces John Francome, Alastair Down and Mike Cattermole for a special two-hour Cheltenham Festival Preview show, which will be broadcast on Monday 9 March to both Sky and Freeview TV viewers in the build-up to next week’s action.

The two-hour broadcast will run from 8pm-10pm on both Sky (channel 212) and Freeview (channel 244) on Monday 9 March, where Francome, Down and Cattermole will share their tips for next week’s four days of racing from Prestbury Park that takes place between 10-13 March.

The former Channel 4 Racing stars will be joined in the studio by Betway’s Alan Alger, who will also review the firm’s latest odds and special promotions for the week.

Alger said: “It’s fantastic to welcome back three of racing’s most loved broadcasters and I’m delighted to join them for what will be an enjoyable and informative evening of racing talk and debate.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to point punters in the direction of a few winners and we’ll certainly enjoy a few laughs and memories from the panel along the way.”

The show will also be repeated from 10pm-12am and will be available to watch online at shortly after broadcasting.

One of the big favourites for Wednesday’s Champion Chase is last year’s winner, Sire De Grugy. Betway have announced they will refund all losing bets for the same race this year if the Gary Moore-trained nine-year-old goes on to win once again on Wednesday 11 March (3.20pm).

The race sponsors themselves offer 10/3 best price for Sire de Grugy to win again, currently second favourite behind big rival Sprinter Sacre having won all but two of his last 11 races.

Simply place a bet of at least £5 or more on the Champion Chase race winner market to qualify and, should Sire De Grugy win and you lose your bet, Betway will refund your loss with a free bet equal to your stake of up to £50.

Betway is a relatively new bookmaker with a growing reputation in the industry, currently inviting new customers with a £50 risk-free bet welcome offer.

The bookie has also recently added best odds guaranteed on horse racing to a raft of money back specials encompassing all sports, to broaden appeal to a wider range of punters.

Alongside this year’s Queen Mother Champion Chase, Betway have added their name to many big events in the world of sport. The bookmaker are now the principal sponsor of Premier League Darts and Premier League club, West Ham United, having previously sponsored the fight between Carl Froch and George Groves in May 2014.
