Brazilian Wonderkid Set For Real Madrid After Mega Deal Agreed

Real Madrid are still in the process of planning for the future. After their most successful modern era ended with the exit of all time top goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Juventus last year, Los Blancos have been looking to rebuild, and they have a certain Brazilian wonderkid in their sights as Zinedine Zidane looks to bolster his squad in search of another La Liga title this season.

Life at the Santiago Bernabéu has been complicated since Ronaldo left in the aftermath of a fourth European triumph in just five years. He hasn’t been replaced properly, and the issues with Gareth Bale have been very well documented. While Eden Hazard has begun to impact games more often, more can always be done to make Real a threat in midfield. They are set to sign Flamengo star Jesus Reiner in a stunning £35million deal when he turns 18 later this month, according to Spanish newspaper MARCA.

The success in blooding his fellow countrymen Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior has led to extensive interest in the midfielder. He is the latest find of Real’s Head of International Football Juni Calafat, and there is a lot of excitement surrounding him, but unlike either Vinicius or Rodrygo, he is not a striker and prefers a deeper midfield role instead.
He has scored six goals for Flamengo’s first team so far, but will not likely be seen on the big stage for Real Madrid for some time. Patience from fans and coaches will he required as he heads into the Castilla (B team) squad. Chances under Zidane will surely come soon, though.
