An update on the fitness of Bukayo Saka ahead of Chelsea vs Arsenal has been provided.
Arsenal face a trip to Stamford Bridge on October 21 as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the league season. The Gunners are 23/20 favourites with bet365 for the clash.
Bukayo Saka injury latest
Ahead of the game, Arsenal have mapped out a training plan for Bukayo Saka in a bid to ensure that he is fit to face Chelsea next weekend.
Saka withdrew from the England squad on Monday due to a hamstring injury, after being assessed by FA medics at St George’s Park.
The winger has returned to Arsenal and will have rehab sessions this week. Saka will then return to Arsenal’s training base at London Colney on Monday as he bids to be fit to face Chelsea.
Arsenal and Saka are both optimistic that he will be ready to face Chelsea. Saka is Arsenal’s top goalscorer so far this term in all competitions, so having him fit for a London derby would be a big boost.
However, Arsenal will take solace in the fact they were able to beat Manchester City last weekend with Saka watching on from the stands.
