Bukayo Saka shines in Sevilla win
Bukayo Saka scored Arsenal’s second goal of the evening vs Sevilla after assisting Leandro Trossard for the opener.
All five of Leandro Trossard’s goals in all competitions this season for Arsenal have been assisted by Bukayo Saka, the most assists by one Premier League player for another this term.
After assisting Trossard this week, Bukayo Saka has become the first Arsenal player to score and assist in consecutive home games in the UEFA Champions League since Cesc Fabregas against Sevilla and Slavia Prague in 2007/08.
Speaking post-Sevilla, Mikel Arteta was quick to praise his Arsenal attackers: “The attacking players obviously have a huge influence on what we’re able to generate in the final third.
“But a lot of times the process has to be better at the back to give them advantages and time and space and support that they need to generate those things. Today they’ve done it really well. When that’s the case it is difficult to defend against them.”
