Celtic return to Champions League action on Wednesday evening when they welcome Serie A side Lazio to Celtic Park in an 8 pm kick-off.
The Hoops are in desperate need of a positive result against Maurizio Sarri’s side after a 2-0 loss to Feyenoord in their opening Group E game and a clash with Atletico Madrid on the horizon. Celtic can be backed to win at 19/10 with bet365.
Key quartet miss out
Celtic are once again the dominant force in Scotland now they are back under the tutelage of Brendan Rodgers. They have six wins and one draw to their name from the opening seven SPL clashes, with 16 goals scored and just four conceded.
However, they are set to be without some key players this week as they prepare for their toughest test of the season. Odin Thiago Holm and Gustaf Lagerbielke will both miss Wednesday’s meeting due to suspension.
Elsewhere, Cameron Carter-Vickers has been absent from Celtic’s last seven games due to a hamstring injury and will be on the sidelines once more when Lazio come to town. Right-winger Liel Abada will also sit out Wednesday’s match after he ruptured his thigh last month.
With so many key players set to miss out vs Lazio, Brendan Rodgers and co. will be relying heavily on star man, Matt O’Riley.
The central midfielder is in sensational form this term and already has five goals and two assists to his name from nine outings. O’Riley is 11/2 to score anytime with Betfair.
