Chelsea dealt injury blow

Ahead of the Liverpool game, Chelsea have been handed some bad news on the injury front.

Levi Colwill missed the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa in the FA Cup after withdrawing from the warm-up due to tightness in his hamstring.

Chelsea believe the injury is minor but the stopper is battling to face Liverpool after missing training on Monday. Colwill will need to get through Tuesday’s session unscathed to travel with the squad to Anfield on Wednesday.

On a somewhat positive note for the west Londoners, if Colwill fails to face Liverpool, he is expected to be fit to feature vs Wolves on Sunday.

In terms of replacements vs Liverpool, Benoit Badiashile would likely come in at centre-back and Ben Chilwell would start at left-back.
