Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are still desperate to secure the signing of a targetman in this January transfer window.
Antonio Conte’s Blues have been linked with a host of top forward stars, while a number of bizarre names have also been tipped to arrive at Stamford Bridge this month.

As well as ties to esteemed Serie A frontman Edin Dzeko, the north London have outfit have also been mentioned in the same breath as Peter Crouch and Andy Carroll.
But Chelsea fans may be happier with the latest targetman link, though, as the Blues reportedly prepare to swoop for Tottenham attacker Fernando Llorente, if they cannot lure Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud to the club.
Italian coach Conte is desperate to acquire a new frontman to help ease the goal burden on misfiring forward Alvaro Morata this season.
Arsenal attacker Giroud is still seen as their number one priority, but reports suggest they will turn attentions to Spaniard Llorente if that fails.
Chelsea actually came close to securing the Basque striker’s services last summer, before capital rivals Spurs snapped him up from Swansea City instead.
It’s likely with the situation that the Blues are currently in that Tottenham would make a big profit on the £12 million they originally paid for Llorente too, if they choose to let him join a rival.
