Chelsea 'Sign' Austrian Striker Sensation

According to reports in Austria, Chelsea have signed 16-year-old Thierno Ballo from Viktoria Koln.

There are a lot of high hopes for the youngster, who has already played for the Blues’ development squad on a number of occasions.

The Austria under-17 international netted five times against West Ham last season; a pretty special way to introduce himself to English football.

Although not many players progress to the first team, Chelsea do have a rather impressive academy. Tammy Abraham and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are currently impressing on loan in the Premier League at Swansea City and Crystal Palace respectively.

But the Blues will hope to uncover a gem and one for the future.
