Crazy Penalty Stat Emerges Involving Ederson And Petr Cech
Manchester City once again comfortably overcame Arsenal 3-0, thanks to goals from Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Leroy Sane.
Pep Guardiola’s runaway Premier League leaders ran out routine victors on their travels to a very snowy London, inflicting further misery on Arsene Wenger this season.
During proceedings Sky Blues stopper Ederson was able to brilliantly deny Gunners frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the penalty spot.
In doing so, the Brazilian goalkeeper achieved something that Petr Cech never has, as an interesting stat emerged from the Emirates.
Ederson made his third spot-kick save in a Man City shirt and, in palming away Aubameyang’s latest effort, he has now saved more penalties at the Emirates than Arsenal stopper Cech.
Experienced veteran Cech, of course, has never managed to stop a strike from 12 yards on home soil.

Since joining from Chelsea, Cech is yet to make a single penalty save for Arsenal.
The former Premier League winner has been beaten by the last 15 spot kicks he has faced, while he has dived the wrong way on 12 occasions.
It doesn’t make for good reading for the Gunners number one, as Wenger faces further calls to quit the club this current campaign.
