After looking as though they were heading for a relegation battle under Patrick Viera, Crystal Palace brought Roy Hodgson back to the club, who then steered them towards mid table by the end of the 22/23 season.
But will Hodgson give it another shot at the club, or will they go in a different direction?

Latest Crystal Palace Manager Odds
There’s not many names in with a realistic chance of landing this job, but that doesn’t stop it from being a fascinating betting market.
We’ve got Roy Hodgson sitting at the top of it, favourite to come back and give it another go. The feeling is that the club will allow him to do that, if he wishes, but there’s plenty of other names hovering around, which would make for interesting appointments.
Directly behind Hodgson in the betting is Graham Potter, the logical next step for most Premier League clubs who are in mid table or worse.
A great time at Brighton hasn’t been fully soured by his move to Chelsea, where Potter was sacked after failing to perform.
But with so much going off at Chelsea away from the field of play, you can’t help but think Potter would be keen to jump back in elsewhere, and at a club where he has more control, as well as being more stable, Crystal Palace would certainly offer that.
Brendan Rodgers is another name on the betting list, and while he would make a lot of sense for Palace, the feeling is that he could be heading back north, to have a second stint at Celtic, which would obviously rule him out of this position.
Rafa Benitez, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Steve Cooper come next, all with Premier League experience in them.
But perhaps a more fascinating longshot is Michael Carrick, next on the list. He took Middlesbrough from the relegation zone in the Championship to the playoffs, plays an attractive brand of football, and is seen as one of the next big up and coming managers. Could Crystal Palace be the club that gives him his big chance?
- Roy Hodgson - 6/5
- Graham Potter - 2/1
- Brendan Rodgers - 6/1
- Rafa Benitez, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Steve Cooper - 16/1
- Michael Carrick - 25/1

Who Will be the Next Crystal Palace Manager?
The person to decide this could actually be the man at the top of the market, Roy Hodgson. It seems it’s retire or take Palace for another season for Hodgson, and the feeling is that the club will go with him, if he wants to stay on.
Should he not do that, then this opens up the market further, Graham Potter would rightfully be favourite, and a potentially perfect fit, but there’s others behind him that would also like to throw their hat into the ring at Selhurst Park.
