England Players on the Move This Summer

With the transfer window quickly hotting up, a number of big stars are on the move.

There’s talk of a return to the Premier League for Cristiano Ronaldo and at just 18-years-old, Kylian Mbappe is set to become the world’s most expensive player ever, in excess of £100milion.

And closer to home, several stars in the England set-up also look to be on the move in a bid to boost there chances under Gareth Southgate.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is odds on to join Liverpool at 8/11 at Bet365, with Chelsea second favourite at 10/1.

The midfielder would cost Jurgen Klopp around £30million and has just one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates. It is thought that the 23-year-old us growing increasingly frustrated over the lack of negotiations regarding a new deal.

With Arsenal missing out on Champions League football in the coming season, Liverpool’s place in the competition may just be enough to lure him to Anfield.

Elsewhere in the England midfield, Ross Barkley may also be on the move. The Everton man has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham and is 9/4 to sign for Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea are second in the race for his signature at 3/1 at Ladbrokes whilst the 23-year-old is 5/2 to remain at Goodison. Barkley is said to be keen to leave Merseyside to save his England career, however, Spurs are reportedly waiting for his fee to drop.

Daniel Sturridge is another England star being linked with a move elsewhere.

The forward is 8/1 at Coral to sign for French giants PSG and is being encouraged to push the transfer through as he would “thrive” in Ligue One.

Sturridge has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and started just seven Premier League games this season.

Admittedly, a large part of his time on Merseyside has been plagued by injury but with the likes of Saido Mane and Roberto Firmino now at the club, a move away may be best for his career.

In defence, Kyle Walker is being linked with a move away from Spurs. Kieran Trippier has been offered a new deal, the chances of the right-back getting regular game time next season look rather unlikely.

Man City are leading the race to sign Walker at 4/6 at most bookmakers, though Spurs are rumoured to be playing hardball over his fee.

And leaving Man City is goalkeeper Joe Hart. Pep Guardiola has made it clear that the England star is not in his plans with Hart spending last season on loan at Torino, and then acquiring Ederson for a record keeper fee.

The keeper is 13/8 to sign with West Ham, though Adrian has recently signed a contract extension so it is likely Hart would only sign at the London Stadium if he was guaranteed regular game time.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are 9/2 to sign the 30-year-old. Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius each made a string of errors last season and it’s possible that Klopp is seeking some solidity on his goal line.
