Bookmakers are offering free bets for the third One Day International between England and Bangladesh starting at Edgbaston this morning.
England have called up Ravi Bopara to replace the injured Ian Bell in the final match of the series.
Bell was forced to bat with a broken foot in the five run defeat at Bristol on Saturday which had captain Andrew Strauss hitting out at his side’s poor batting performance.
Bangladesh were earning their first victory in any format against England to level the series 1-1. Boylesports are offering odds of 6/1 for the Tigers to repeat their historic win today.
Saturday’s defeat increases the pressure on the England one day eleven who have now lost three times in their last four games.
Bopara joined up with the England squad last night after belting an unbeaten 105 for Essex in the Friends Provident fixture against Somerset at Chelmsford.
The Essex batsman is unlikely to replace Jonathan Trott at number three, Trott was one of few to impress on Saturday when making a valuable 94 runs.
It is most probable that Strauss will ask him to bat at six, where Luke Wright has been disappointing lately. Stan James are offering 11/2 for Bopara to be top England Batsman.
Neither Wright or Michael Yardy have performed well enough to make the position their own and the way is now open for Tim Bresnan to return to the side.
Bresnan has been installed at odds of 9/2 with William Hill to be Top England bowler in the match.
