Erik ten Hag insists Manchester United’s season is not over

Manchester United fell to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Bayern Munich on Tuesday to put an end to their European campaign.

The Red Devils finished 4th in their Champions League group so will not even drop down to the Europa League, like they have done in previous seasons.

Man United will be looking to bounce back this weekend with a tough Premier League tie vs Liverpool at Anfield. Back United to win that match at 15/2 with bet365.

Erik ten Hag on Manchester United’s season

Manchester United are out of the League Cup, out of the Champions League, will not be playing Europa League football and are currently outside of the Premier League top-four.

But Erik ten Hag insists Manchester United still have plenty to play for this season, despite being knocked out of Europe before Christmas:

“There’s still many things to play for,” he said. “We can focus on the Premier League and this is the level we want to play at [next season] so we have to give every effort to be in the top four.

“Hopefully, next year we are back in the Champions League and we have the FA Cup, so still many things to play for.”

Manchester United’s first FA Cup tie of the season sees them face off with Wigan in the 3rd round on January 8.
