It’s Eurovision week!
Love it, or hate it, Eurovision grabs the attention, and I’ll be honest and say I am firmly in the camp of loving this competition.
We begin the week with two semi finals, to find out the final contestants who will qualify for Saturday’s final, with the first semi final taking place on Tuesday evening.
Here I have the latest Eurovision semi final 1 odds, who is favourite with leading bookmakers to win the semi final, and a look at some outright odds, to kick off the weekly coverage on Freebets.

Eurovision Semi Final 1 Leading Contenders
The betting suggests this could be a two horse race, between Croatia and Ukraine, with double figures available on all other entrants, and triple figures available on all bar four others.
Finland probably fall into the camp of being a lively outsider, but other than that, there is little interest in the others taking part.
Croatia - Baby Lasagna
With the name Baby Lasagna, you can’t take yourself too seriously, and luckily for Croatia, they’ve got an entrant to match that name.
Upbeat, very catchy and something that will stand out when played alongside other songs, this is the ideal recipe for a Eurovision winner, and it’s no surprise to see this song at the top of the betting market.
A win in the semi final on Tuesday night will likely cement this song as the overall Eurovision favourite on Saturday.
Ukraine - Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil
This song is going to be incredibly popular in Ukraine, as it puts together two of the country’s biggest music stars.
Combine that with the continued empathy for Ukraine from other countries around the world, and there’s reason to think they’ll do well with the public vote.
But while this is a good song, it may not be a great, and alongside that, I’m not sure it’s got the ability to stand out, which will make the draw very important.
Finland - Windows95man
Finland have a long history of producing great entrants for Eurovision, and Windows95man is likely to join that list.
More than just a musician, known for being an entertainer and model, with dramatic performances that deliver in full to the crowd.
I think the song is quite catchy, and should be remembered, but whether it lacks the quality to really get involved, remains to be seen.
Ireland - Bambie Thug
Ireland have certainly gone down the ‘different’ route this year. We’ve seen heavier rock tracks do well in the past, but I’m not sure this has the ability to do that.
It feels a little strange and weird, and could put a lot of people off for that alone.
To me, it’s a song that would come across a lot better if you knew the story behind it, and people performing it, but neither of those are likely to come across to a Eurovision audience.
Lithuania - Silvester Belt
If each way betting becomes available for the first semi final, or if you can bet on the top five, then Lithuania should be of interest.
Silvester Belt puts on a good performance, with a song that can stand out, and is quite a catchy number.
In the final, if he qualifies, then he may get lost in with a lot of other good songs, but in this semi final, he could stand out and outperform the big odds on offer.
