Football: 12/1 League One Acca - Saturday, January 29

We go to League One for a 12/1 acca on Saturday afternoon, picking three results across the games that start at 3pm.

Two away wins and a home victory is what we are picking from the games.

  • Wigan to beat Cheltenham
  • Lincoln to beat Burton
  • Ipswich to beat Sheffield Wednesday

Wigan to beat Cheltenham

Wigan start the day at the top of League One, and have at least two games in hand on their rivals behind, four in some cases.

Things are going to plan, but they have to keep winning games and that is exactly what we think they will do here when they travel to Cheltenham.

Wigan have won four straight and three of them have come away from home. Compare that to Cheltenham, who have now gone nine games without a win.

We like Wigan here, to kick start our Saturday League One acca in style.

Lincoln to beat Burton

Lincoln have won three of their last four games, and those have all come against teams who are currently in the top seven of the standings, they deserve a lot of credit for their recent run, and are better than their current league position suggests.

Burton are above them in the standings, but have won just one of their last four, and that came against lowly Gillingham, currently in the relegation zone.

League standings suggest otherwise, but in terms of recent form, Lincoln are the better team and fancied to win this at home.

Ipswich to beat Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday were amongst the favourites for promotion at the start of the season, but continue to fade away and have been very disappointing. They are in 9th, behind Ipswich, and come here on the back of losing three of their last four games.

Ipswich are performing slightly better than expectations, and are also in form, with four wins from their last five games. Two of those wins have been away, with clean sheets attached and they are going to make this very difficult for Wednesday.

With pressure mounting on the home team, and fans unhappy with things, we are backing that to continue, with Ipswich going to Hillsborough and taking home three points.
