Football: Guardiola Will Sign For Barcelona Today
Bookmakers are offering free bets to new customers betting Barcelona to win La Liga and the Champions League in 2010/11 football season.
Spanish champions Barcelona announced that out-of-contract coach Pep Guardiola will sign an extension to his deal today.
The 39-year-old has led Barca to seven trophies in two seasons, including the 2009 Champions League and two successive La Liga crowns.
Boylesports are offering new customers two free £20 bets when placing an initial £20. They go 4/5 for Guardiola to lead Barcelona to a third successive La Liga title and 7/2 to lift another Champion’s League trophy.
The news comes as no surprise, it has been understood that Guardiola made a verbal agreement in January to stay on for another season.
But Barcelona fans will be pleased with the confirmation when a club spokesman said: "The expected announcement of Guardiola’s continued presence on the bench is a reality."
The lack of a written contract had led to some speculation towards the end of the season that Guardiola could leave.
His name was linked with the Inter Milan position vacated by Jose Mourinho but fans sighed their relief when Rafa Benitez was announced coach to the Italian giants.
The new deal has been delayed by Barcelona’s presidential elections, Sandro Rosell has now assumed control from Joan Laporta.
