Formula One Title Fight to Go To Wire According To Jensen Button
Jenson Button expects this year’s battle for the Formula One world title to go down to the wire, with the driver who can stay coolest under pressure coming out on top.
With only five races remaining, and just 24 points separating the top five drivers in the standings bookmakers make Mark Webber clear favourite to win the Drivers Championship .
Webber is best price at 15/8 with 888Sport whilst Britain’s Lewis Hamilton is second favourite at 3/1 with Bet365 .
However Button is convinced that given how this season’s title race has ebbed and flowed, he cannot see any of the five – including himself – doing enough to clinch the crown before the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
“You can’t help but look at the drivers’ championship table and just think ‘Wow, how can it be so close?'” said Button.
Highlighting what is required to emerge as champion, Button added: “Consistency is important in some ways.None of us can afford another non-finish or a mistake, and the guy who cracks least will be world champion.”
In winning the World title last season , Button learned alot along the way and now has the experience to go on and win more titles .
Jenson Button is the outsider of the current five drivers in with a chance of winning the Drivers Championship and is best price with Sportingbet at 16/1 .
The next race is the Singapore Grand Prix on September 26th .
