Chelsea injury news

Here is all the latest Chelsea injury news ahead of the Arsenal game.

Benoit Badiashile sustained a hamstring problem during pre-season but the stopper is now finally back in training after one or two setbacks and could return to first-team action after the break.

Cole Palmer was forced off vs Burnley with what appeared to be a hamstring problem. But with no update after the game, that may have been only a precautionary move.

Romeo Lavia is yet to make his Chelsea debut after an ankle problem suffered at Cobham has impacted his ability to train as he undergoes his rehabilitation programme. He is not expected back until November.

Ben Chilwell suffered a hamstring injury late on in the League Cup 3rd round win against Brighton and is not expected back until December at least.

Reece James will be available for selection later this month after hamstring trouble has kept him out for much of the season so far.

Mykhailo Mudryk was subbed off at half-time in the west London derby against Fulham last week with a minor quad issue, but was available for the subsequent win over Burnley and should be ready to start once again after the international break.

Finally, Christopher Nkunku required knee surgery after a collision during a pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund and remains out until January.
