Darwin Nunez & Trent Alexander-Arnold injury updates

Ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Brighton, the Reds look set to be without at least two key players.

Darwin Nunez is a doubt for Liverpool’s return to action after pulling out of the Uruguay squad.

The South Americans face friendlies against Basque Country and Ivory Coast, but Nunez will play no part in those matches after it was confirmed he has dropped out of the squad. Uruguay stated that the striker’s absence is down to ‘physical issues’.

As for Trent Alexander-Arnold, he has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury vs Burnley last month.

Jurgen Klopp does not expect the right-back to be fit for the immediate return of club football, but ‘the week after’ has been eyed for his return, suggesting he could feature vs Manchester United on April 7.
