Hector Bellerin Trolls Troy Deeney After Arsenal Down Watford
Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin wasted no time in trolling Watford striker Troy Deeney on Twitter after his missed penalty in the Gunners’ 3-0 win over the Hornets on Sunday.
Goals from Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were enough to earn three crucial points and further put a run of poor form behind them, but all eyes were on Deeney after he failed from the spot.
It was clear Bellerin was looking for revenge on the striker after he gave away a penalty in a 2-1 defeat at Vicarage Road in October. After the Spaniard denied it was the right decision, Deeney went on BT Sport to claim his long hair was blocking his sight.
The Watford captain would then question the character of the Arsenal squad, which made him a target for the home fans on Sunday.
After losing four games on the trot, the Gunners are in a much better place after beating AC Milan in the Europa League on Thursday.
