Inter Milan forward Mario Balotelli has been cut to 13/8 with Skybet to sign for Manchester City this summer amid reports in Italy that the 19-year-old was due to leave the San Siro.
Despite Inter’s insistence that the striker is not going anywhere, reports in Italy have claimed that a €25m offer has been made for Balotelli, who struggled to make an impression with the European champions last season after falling out with then manager Jose Mourinho.
The report has resulted in a drop in the betting markets, with Skybet cutting the price on the Italian being at the City of Manchester Stadium on the opening day of the season from 9/2 earlier this month to 13/8.
Balotelli is priced at 4/1 to team up with Mourinho at Real Madrid next season whilst a move to Chelsea is also considered an option for the youngster, priced at 9/1.
Manchester United are 8/1 to be his new paymasters come the start of the 2010/11 season whilst a big-money move to Arsenal is considered less likely at 20/1.
Meanwhile, Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano looks increasingly likely to be heading from the UK to Inter, with his price falling from 2/1 earlier this week to just 4/7 after comments from his agent over a potential transfer.
