With the January window open until February 2nd we can look forward to a month of crazy transfer rumours. Bookmakers have to sift through all the gossip to come up with players’ transfer odds and the prices can be quite telling as to which rumours the bookies are taking seriously.
Freebets.com has looked at the markets for player’s club after the January transfer window and picked out those whose odds suggest are the most likely to be changing clubs this month.
Big favourites to be transferred
The 16-year-old wonderkid looked certain to be heading for the Premier League after impressing Manchester United and Liverpool in training last month. Manchester City, Southampton and Bayern Munich are also chasing the Norwegian’s signature but Ajax may have stolen a march with the promise of a fast-track to first team football.

It’s common knowledge that MLS side Toronto will be happy to offload the former England and Tottenham Hotspur striker who is looking for a return to the Premier League. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is rumoured to be interested in a stop-gap loan arrangement, so too QPR boss Harry Redknapp who has worked with the 32-year-old at West Ham, Portsmouth and Tottenham.
Leicester are favourites to sign Defoe in January as it’s believed they could be willing to match the £6m valuation to take him on a permanent arrangement.

Shaqiri is reported to be keen on a move to Italy in the next window but Brendan Rodgers is expected to make another bid for the diminutive forward after being rejected in the summer. With Bayern Munich keen on a permanent deal, Shakiri could give serious consideration for a move to the Premier League as favoured club Inter are said to be wanting a loan arrangement.

Manchester City and Liverpoool have been heavily linked with the Ivorian striker who is expected to cost at least double the £12 million Swansea paid for his signature in July 2013. Chelsea are reported to have offered a cash plus player deal involving Loic Remy if the Swans are prepared to wait until summer.

Premier League bound
Atletico Madrid have alerted clubs they are willing to sell the Brazilian defender for around €24 million and the 30-year-old is thought to be open to a move to the Premier League. Manchester City may be prepared to grant his wish for a four-year contract but they will face opposition from Manchester United and Arsenal who are also in the market for a quality defender.

The Spanish international spurned a move to Manchester City in 2013, favouring Real Madrid instead. Having taken a year to establish a place in the first team, rumours that Marco Reus could be heading to the Bernabeu may re-ignite Manuel Pellegrini’s interest. City won’t be alone in chasing the 22-year-old’s signature as his strength and skill would make him an ideal fit for the Premier League.

Rumours have been circulating since September that Barcelona winger Pedro may look for pastures new in January with Arsenal monitoring the situation closely. Arsene Wenger has bigger problems elsewhere on the pitch but with Luis Suarez and the upcoming Munir putting pressure on Pedro’s place at Barca, a move for 27-year-old Spanish international is not out of the question.

January transfer possibilities
Daniel Levy is understood to be demanding around £9 million for the Spurs winger who looks set to move this month. Lennon has been linked with a number of struggling Premier League sides and West Brom have just come into the reckoning with Tony Pulis said to have been handed a £30 million war chest. Pulis may have to spread the finances over the next two windows but has made Lennon a January target in his bid to avoid relegation.

Schalke could be persuaded to sell the £25 million-rated midfielder as manager Roberto Di Matteo looks to raise funds to strengthen other areas of the team.
