Johnson wins Scandanavian Masters as Choi hits 78
Following a delayed start due to early rain Swede Richard Johnson sank a 30-foot birdie putt on the final green to become only the second home winner of the Nordea Scandinavian Masters in the last 12 years on Sunday.
Favourite this morning was Korean KJ Choi but the overnight leader took nine on the 15th and eventually shot a sorry 78 .
British Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen also played poorly and shot 73 to finish joint fourth but was honest enough afterwards to admit "after last week I was hoping to make the cut and I finished fourth, so I’m happy."
The result was epic for the bookmakers as Johnson had not made a top 30 finish since February and has not won in Europe for eight years .
The USPGA odds were largely unaffected by this event although Choi has shortened with Blue Square to 50/1 for the seasons last major which gets underway on August 12th .
The USPGA represents the last chance for Tiger Woods to add to his haul of fourteen majors this season and Paddy Power are stand out top price currently at 6/1
