Kai Havertz says he is ‘happy’ at Arsenal following a £65m from Chelsea this past summer.
Havertz has been on international duty with Germany this past week but is expected to play some role on Saturday evening when Arsenal travel to Brentford. Back Arsenal to beat the Bees at 4/5 with bet365.
Havertz speaks out on Arsenal start
Much like at Chelsea, Kai Havertz has struggled to impose himself in the final third for the Gunners during his stint in north London so far.
He has just one assist and one goal in 12 Premier League outings, with his goal a penalty he was gifted vs Bournemouth despite not being one of Arsenal’s designated penalty takers.
This has seen Havertz mocked online by many football fans. But when speaking to Arsenal’s official website, the player himself talked of his belief that Gunners fans were recognising his efforts after joining the club from one of their rivals:
“It’s always tough when you come from Chelsea, because they are big rivals, so it can take weeks to get some trust from the fans,” he said.
“But goals and good games can help me to get it and I will always give 100 per cent in the games and training sessions. I think they will recognise this as well, which is very important. I’m really happy to be here.”
