Liverpool team news

Liverpool took on Belgian side Union SG in a Europa League tie on Thursday. At half-time in said match Wataru Endo, Mohamed Salah and Darwnin Nunez were all taken off. This led to fear among Reds fans that there were injury issues. However, Jurgen Klopp quickly put those to rest in his post-match press conference:

“Yeah, yeah. All three. All three sub were planned,” Klopp said. “If we could do it, that was the idea. If we could do it and nobody else has problems then these three boys would go off.”

Despite said trio seemingly being ok for Sunday, some big names will miss the match for the Merseysiders. Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota are both suspended after being sent off in the aforementioned outing with Tottenham.

Elsewhere, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago and Cody Gakpo remain sidelined due to injury. With Gakpo injured and Jota suspended, Darwnin Nunez is expected to lead the line on Sunday against a Brighton side who have conceded the most goals of any Premier League team this term (20). Back Nunez to score anytime vs the Seagulls at 13/8 with bet365.
