La Liga: Barcelona v Villareal Preview
Barcelona will be looking to keep up the heat on La Liga leaders and main rivals Real Madrid as they play Villareal this Saturday evening.
Bookmakers online are offering free bets to new customers as well as money back specials ahead of the televised match.
Pep Guardiola’s team do not appear to be the free flowing force that they were last season at the minute, and have experienced a number of poor performances in their domestic and Champions League campaigns.
They will be expecting to comfortably win this game in the Nou Camp, but Villareal themselves are enjoying another good season.
They currently lie second in the table ahead of the game and are just two points behind their opponents in the La Liga standings.
Barcelona were disappointing in their 1-1 draw away to FC Copenhagen in the Champions League recently, but their form in La Liga looks like it is turning out to be more consistent.
They comfortably beat Getafe 3-1 away and dispatched Ceuta 5-1.
Both sides have been fairly free scoring of late, after playing 10 league games apiece are not giving much defensively either.
Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who had such a poor World Cup in South Africa, is again the focus of attention among fans and could well scoop the World Player of the Year trophy again.
Barcelona v Villareal is live on Sky Sports 1 with kick-off at 9pm.
