Chelsea injury news

Here is all the latest Chelsea injury news before their FA Cup clash this weekend.

Romeo Lavia was kept out of the matchday squads early in the season due to a match fitness problem before suffering an ankle issue in October. The Belgian international finally made his debut against Crystal Palace two weeks ago but picked up a knock in the process, and could miss out this weekend.

Ben Chilwell suffered a knock toward the end of Chelsea’s clash with Brighton in the League Cup at the end of September. However, he has now returned to full team training alongside Carney Chukwuemeka with the pair spotted doing small group drills.

Lesly Ugochukwu started against Wolves on Christmas Eve but was subbed off after injuring his hamstring. He missed out against Crystal Palace and also against Luton and is a doubt for the Preston game.

Finally, Robert Sanchez suffered a knee injury in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United last month but was passed fit to feature against Everton three days later. However, after going down injured in the second half, Sanchez aggravated the injury and was taken off, eventually being replaced by Djordje Petrovic. The Spaniard has not played since and remains doubtful for this weekend.
