Andy Robertson injury blow

Before facing off with Everton on Saturday, Liverpool have been dealt a blow on the injury front.

Andy Robertson suffered a shoulder injury after colliding with goalkeeper Unai Simon shortly before half-time in Scotland’s 2-0 defeat to Spain last Thursday.

The Scottish captain had to be substituted off and was clearly in pain as he left the pitch, with his national team manager unable to clarify how serious the injury was:

“As always with injured players, we send them back to their club. Andy’s gone back to Liverpool,” Steve Clarke said on Tuesday.

Now, the Mirror are reporting that the left-back may not return to action until next year. Those fears were exacerbated when Andy Robertson was pictured with his right arm in a sling earlier this week.

On a more positive note for Liverpool, Diogo Jota is back from his suspension this week and is expected to feature vs Everton. Back Jota to score anytime at 7/5 with bet365.
