Jurgen Klopp is looking to add further reinforcements to his Liverpool squad this coming summer and he is eyeing up one particular Premier League star.
The Reds were dealt a huge blow during the January transfer window, as Barcelona raided their ranks for Brazilian talisman Philippe Coutinho, departing for a mammoth £105 million.
They then strengthened their defence with the acquisition of Virgil van Dijk from Southampton for a substantial £75 million.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita is set to arrive at Anfield in the summer too, after agreeing a switch from the Bundesliga club.
But Klopp is eager for further midfield signings and has his eye on one Leicester City star in the next window.
Liverpool are also resigned to losing Germany international midfielder Emre Can in the summer, as Italian giants Juventus edge closer to his permanent services.
But Klopp has his sights on Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi as a replacement in his side, with the Reds reportedly plotting a mammoth £50 million swoop.
The Nigeria international enforcer joined the King Power Stadium outfit back in 2016 from Belgium outfit Genk for just £17 million.
This season in the Premier League he has become a huge asset to the Foxes and his solid performances in the middle of the park are attracting interest from the big clubs.
Leicester could be set for a big summer of departures, with Manchester City likely set to move for Riyad Mahrez once again after missing out on his signing in January Deadline Day.
Meanwhile, solid centre back Harry Maguire is also tipped to move on in order to help boost his international prospects with England.
But it’s Ndidi that is the subject of a potential high-profile swoop from Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer.
