Noni Madueke makes Chelsea claim

Chelsea have had a rough first half of the 2023/24 season under Mauricio Pochettino.

The huge spending once again over the summer has led to a lot of pressure being put on the club and players to do well, but they have languished in midtable for much of the campaign, with their best chance for European football next term seemingly set to come from winning a domestic cup.

However, speaking after the Boro drubbing, Chelsea winger Noni Madueke believes the squad have turned a corner:

“We’re turning a corner… you can definitely see the progression.

“I am really happy and proud of the boys today. People have been doubting us. But again, it was great for the club to not only win but win in style.

“It felt like you would always see the right mentality from the start [in the second leg] and a will to win and score many goals and win in style. That’s what our fans deserve and that’s what they’ve got.”
