Bitter city rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are set to do battle once again as both clubs are becoming increasingly more keen on signing Lazio starlet Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The player’s agent, former Chelsea and PSV Eindhoven striker Mateja Kezman, has made claims this week that the two Manchester giants, among others, are extremely keen on signing his client.

“There’s been a lot of interest from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester and Milan. But he wants to be happy, to play to keep growing and become one of the best in his role.” Kezman said.
He added: “It’s difficult to see him away from Lazio, where he has started the season very well, but I can’t rule out him leaving.
“But if Milinkovic-Savic keeps this up, there will be plenty of contact from different clubs, like there was in the summer.”
The 22-year-old midfielder ended last season in wonderful form that saw him linked with a number of top European clubs in the summer.
The Serbia under-21 international has been heavily linked with Liverpool in the past, including last summer when the Merseysiders reportedly had a £24m bid rejected by Lazio for his services.

It’s no surprise that so many clubs are keen on the Serbian star right now. Milinkovic-Savic has the natural ability to prosper in Europe’s top leagues. He has shown great physicality and balance for a young player, he’s strong and comfortable in possession and his distribution from central midfield is sensational.
Milinkovic-Savic has made a fantastic start to the new campaign with his side currently sitting in fourth place in Serie A, undefeated in both pre-season, the league and all other competitions. Simone Inzaghi, who lost Lucas Biglia, Balde Keita Diao and Wesley Hoedt for big fees in the summer, has impressed his critics with early wins over Juventus and AC Milan and Milinkovic-Savic, along with Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto, has been a vital cog.
It remains to be seen who holds the most concrete interest in Milinkovic-Savic, but we do know it’s going to have to be a big fee to prize the superb talent away from Rome.
