Manchester City injury blow

Ahead of facing Arsenal, Manchester City have been dealt a big blow on the injury front.

Ederson came off 11 minutes into the second half of the Liverpool clash after injuring his leg as he fouled Darwin Nunez to give away a penalty. After referee Michael Oliver pointed to the spot, Ederson spent more than two minutes being treated.

Ten minutes later, the Brazilian went down to the ground, with City readying Stefan Ortega to come on as Ederson walked straight down the tunnel.

After the game, Pep Guardiola admitted he had been left fearing the worst after being updated on Ederson’s condition by the club’s medical staff. He told beIN Sports: “It doesn’t look good.”

Now, widespread reports have claimed that the 30-year-old is facing three to four weeks on the sidelines with the thigh injury he suffered against Liverpool. As a result, he is more than likely out of the Arsenal tie later this month.
