Manchester City dealt Erling Haaland injury blow
Ahead of facing Liverpool, Manchester City have been handed some bad news on the Erling Haaland front.
Haaland broke the Premier League goalscoring record last term and is in fine form once again in 2023/24.
However, Erling Haaland was ruled out of Norway’s qualifier against Scotland on Sunday with an ankle injury.
The Manchester City striker came on at half-time in his country’s friendly win over the Faroe Islands on Thursday night and took a blow to his ankle in the closing stages, but was able to finish the match.
It was then confirmed that Haaland would not be involved when Norway travelled to face Scotland on Sunday in their final Euro 2024 qualifier.
“The injury is not serious, but he is in so much pain and somewhat restricted function that the Scotland game unfortunately comes a little too early,” Norway team doctor Ola Sand stated.
