Manchester City set two records

Erling Haaland opened the scoring after 23 minutes vs Young Boys before Phil Foden doubled the home side’s lead in first-half injury time. Haaland then netted his second of the game six minutes after the break to ensure the win and book City’s spot in the knockout rounds with two games to play.

Following the match, Man City have set two very impressive European records.

Manchester City have become the 12th team to score 250 UEFA Champions League goals, and they reached the milestone in fewer games than any other side (119).

Elsewhere, Manchester City now have 100 wins in Europe and, after their 3-0 win this week, hold the English record for most games unbeaten in Europe (18).

The Manchester outfit’s next European tie comes at home to RB Leipzig on November 28 and they will secure top spot in their group with a win on the day.
