Manchester City Trolled By Wigan PA System After FA Cup Defeat
Manchester City suffered from a rare off night in the FA Cup on Monday night, with Wigan ending their hopes of an unprecedented quadruple by winning 1-0 at the DW Stadium.
CORAL HAVE THIS GREAT OFFER!
Will Grigg’s second half strike was enough to draw the first real blood from City this season, and Pep Guardiola, his side and their fans were far from happy with the result, especially after Fabian Delph was sent off.
Unsavoury scenes appeared at half time with Guardiola arguing with Wigan boss Paul Cook, and after the game when Sergio Aguero appeared to strike a home fan who had invaded the pitch. City fans were also seen throwing advertising hoardings at full time.
But one rather humorous occurrence was spotted at full time, when the Wigan tannoy played Wonderwall, perhaps the most famous song by notorious City fans Oasis at the final whistle.
Victory on Sunday in the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal, and wrapping up Guardiola’s first trophy in England, has now taken on a little more importance now.
