Crazy Scenes During the Aftermath of the Manchester Derby

Manchester City earned a historic 14th consecutive win in the Premier League as they overcame neighbours Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues recorded their 14th straight victory in the top-flight, setting the record for most successive wins ever in a single season in English football.

Goals from David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi helped the visitors topple their bitter rivals on their travels, while Marcus Rashford got himself another derby goal during proceedings.

The full-time whistle saw jubilant celebrations from the City players in front their fans and it’s now reported that the drama spilled over into the tunnel.

According to multiple reports, Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho was involved in a 20-man melee outside the away dressing room.

The Portuguese coach apparently approached the dressing room to request that loud music was turned down, which sparked an angry reaction from City goalkeeper Ederson.

Words were exchanged in Portuguese before Mourinho told the Brazilian, “you fucking show respect. Who are you?”

Mourinho is also said to have accused Ederson of time-wasting during the match, in which he made a superb double save to prevent Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata.

Up to 20 individuals, including Lukaku and other players, are said to have got involved in what one witness told the Guardian looked like a ‘pub fight’.
