Manchester United extend impressive record

Manchester United went 2-0 down inside half an hour on Tuesday thanks to some pretty woeful defending.

However, the Manchester outfit came out swinging in the second half to complete a huge comeback, winning 3-2.

Manchester United have now won 14 Premier League games in which they have trailed by at least two goals, at least five more such wins than any other side in the PL’s history.

Following the game, Erik ten Hag was quick to praise Alejandro Garnacho, who scored twice vs Villa: “Previously as well, he was almost more comfortable on the left but I think he can play on the right as well,” Ten Hag said. “Today, I think he was on that right side over 90 minute an absolute threat, scored twice.

“But I think the whole frontline played very good. They invested so much in the runs behind, the timings were so good and it was continuing a threat for the opponent.”
