Manchester United handed double injury boost
Ahead of facing Everton, Manchester United look to have been handed an injury boost relating to Andre Onana and Marcus Rashford.
The Red Devils are already without Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez until the New Year, with Luke Shaw also still sidelined along with the likes of Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen.
To make matters worse for United, Marcus Rashford was substituted after a collision with Trent Alexander-Arnold during England’s 2-0 win over Malta at Wembley on Friday, while Andre Onana was also forced off late on with a shoulder issue in Cameroon’s World Cup qualifier against Mauritius in Douala.
However, Gareth Southgate said he thought Rashford was ‘probably okay’ after the incident, while there appears to also be good news on Onana.
Fabrizio Romano reports that there is optimism around the first-choice goalkeeper, with his injury not believed to be anything serious. Romano adds that Onana is expected to be fit and ready for United’s important run of games coming up.
