Manchester United injury latest before West Ham

Manchester United faced off with Liverpool on Sunday in a tie they were expected to lose, given their recent history at Anfield and their dismal record vs big sides.

However, when all was said and done, United secured a 0-0 draw. They now face West Ham on Saturday and are 13/8 with bet365 to pick up the win.

Manchester United injury news ahead of West Ham

Here is the latest Manchester United injury news before their meeting with West Ham.

Man United will be without Harry Maguire for the ‘coming games’, Erik ten Hag said ahead of the Liverpool trip.

Ten Hag did assure fans that the groin problem picked up during the Premier League win over Chelsea is not thought to be long-term. But with the festive fixture schedule coming thick and fast, that could still mean a return in the New Year for Maguire, after clashes with West Ham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.

Victor Lindelof came off against Chelsea but was expected back relatively soon. However, the stopper has been absent from the squad for the three games since.

Ten Hag described Lindelof as a ‘question mark’ ahead of facing Bayern Munich, suggesting he is not far off a return.

Finally, illness kept Anthony Martial out of training last week as he sat out the matches against Bayern and Liverpool.

Unless the issue is more severe than reported, the Frenchman should be back in the squad to face West Ham on Saturday.
