Manchester United injury latest before Everton
Manchester United have had to deal with a few injury worries ahead of their upcoming meeting with Everton.
There were fears around Marcus Rashford when he limped out of England’s win over Malta on Friday night following a collision with teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, Gareth Southgate labelled the United winger as ‘okay’ before bringing him on late on during the 1-1 draw with North Macedonia on Monday, suggesting Rashford will be fine for the weekend.
Cameroon sent goalkeeper Andre Onana home from their national team camp after he picked up an injury in their World Cup qualifying win over Mauritius. It was initially thought that he had suffered a muscle strain but reports now suggest he is confident of facing Everton on Sunday.
Unlike Onana and Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund is set to miss the weekend’s trip to Goodison Park. Hojlund suffered a muscle strain in the Manchester outfit’s recent win over Luton and United stated at the time that a return in early December is the striker’s target.
