Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with Barcelona over a shock move for Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian has only been at Camp Nou for a year, completing a £147million mega move from Liverpool in January 2018. But he has struggled to find his best form this season.
Ernesto Valverde has often preferred the likes of Arturo Vidal and Ousmane Dembele this season, and United are supposedly keen on trying to lure Coutinho back to England.
The deal in question would cost around £100million, and would be a huge coup if the Red Devils could pull it off.
Though they are still looking for a next permanent manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked last month.
Interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already suggested new signings at Old Trafford are unlikely this month, but Coutinho would certainly help with a title bid next season.
