Many people thought Neymar’s move to PSG was a short-term plan, with Real Madrid his ideal final destination.
But Los Blancos have already setlimit to what they can spend on signing him, £356million, and United are willing to pay up to £444million.
Jose Mourinho is planning to overhaul his attacking options, with a move for Neymar’s former Barcelona teammate, Alexis Sanchez, now of Arsenal, mooted this month.
Manchester City, though, are also keen on Sanchez, with a tug-of-war for the Chilean set to commence over the next couple of weeks.
