Marcus Rashford update

Ahead of the Wolves tie, Manchester United have released a statement on Marcus Rashford.

Rashford missed training on Friday after calling in sick amid reports he had attended a nightclub in Belfast the previous evening.

Photos and footage circulated on social media allegedly showing Rashford attending Thompsons nightclub, with The Athletic reporting the images were taken on Thursday evening.

Rashford was dropped for the Newport match and Man United have now released an official statement: “Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions. This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed.”

The forward has returned to training this week ahead of Man United’s trip to Wolves, which he is set to be in contention for.
