Pochettino praises Chelsea duo
Ahead of returning to action next week, Mauricio Pochettino has praised two Chelsea players.
Chelsea’s last outing before the October break saw them beat Burnley 4-1. Before that, they beat Fulham 2-0 in the PL and knocked Brighton out of the League Cup.
All three of those matches had one thing in common, they were all games summer signing Cole Palmer started in.
Palmer provided the assist for the only goal vs Brighton before scoring and assisting one vs Burnley last weekend.
And now, Mauricio Pochettino has praised Palmer for his unpredictable nature in Chelsea’s XI: “Cole Palmer is a good link player and links with all his teammates.
“We are giving him a starting position on the right to play in between the lines because he is ready to be unpredictable. Football is a game where you need to be unpredictable and he has the capacity to do this.”
The Argentine was also quick to praise Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher: “Conor is a player who can run a lot and this is massive.
“He is a great professional and he can play in different positions as a No8, No10 or a No6. He is box-to-box, he can run and can finish and assist, like he did for Raheem Sterling [against Burnley]. We are so happy with him.”
