Chelsea to beat Manchester City

Chelsea injury news

After beating Crystal Palace, Chelsea were dealt a couple of concerns on the injury front.

Chelsea are set to assess Thiago Silva before the weekend showdown with Manchester City. The Brazilian appeared to hurt his groin while stretching to block a Jean-Philippe Mateta shot. Silva quickly limped off and was replaced by Levi Colwill

Malo Gusto also appeared to ask to come off following a knock late in the game.

Speaking post-match, Mauricio Pochettino provided an update on the pair: “We need to assess Thiago Silva tomorrow because he felt something in his groin.

“Malo, I think, was tired, but it’s not going to be a big problem to be ready at the weekend.”
