Tottenham injury news
Before facing off with Aston Villa, Tottenham have a number of injury issues to deal with.
Micky van de Ven suffered a serious hamstring injury during Tottenham’s recent defeat to Chelsea. The centre-back pulled up while chasing the ball and is not expected back until the new year.
Left-back Destiny Udogie withdrew from the Italy squad last week as he continues to struggle with a muscle injury picked up against Fulham last month. His return date is currently up in the air.
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario missed Italy’s Euro 2024 qualifier win over North Macedonia last week after suffering from ‘flu symptoms’. Given the issue is one of illness rather than injury, the goalkeeper is not expected to be on the sidelines for much longer.
Elsewhere, James Maddison is out until January with an ankle problem, while Richarlison, Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon are not set to return until next month.
