Gabriel Jesus injury latest

Before taking on Crystal Palace, Mikel Arteta has provided a Gabriel Jesus injury update.

Jesus sustained what Arsenal have described as a ‘minor knee issue’ ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup 3rd round tie with Liverpool.

And speaking after the loss to Liverpool, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: “He had some pain in his knee. We have done a scan that shows something. Hopefully it’s not something big.”

Jesus missed the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery last term. He also missed several weeks in October and November with a hamstring injury.

Losing Jesus would be a major blow to the north Londoners, whose title challenge has faltered in recent weeks.
