Arsenal injury update

Arsenal’s win over Liverpool was massive, but it was not all good news for the north Londoners on Sunday as they appear to have been dealt a few injury blows.

Bukayo Saka was forced off with about 10 minutes to go vs Liverpool after receiving treatment on his right foot and ankle on the pitch.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Mikel Arteta said of Saka: “He should be fine, I think. He got a kick I think on the ankle or on the back of his foot, but he should be fine.”

On the absent Gabriel Jesus, the Spaniard added post-Liverpool: “Unfortunately, he had a setback in training and he wasn’t fit to play. It’s something related to his knee, but I think it’s a short-term thing.”

Finally, on Oleksandr Zinchenko - who was forced off at half-time - Arteta said: “With Alex we don’t know. He felt something in his calf again so we had to take him off.”
