NBA: Knicks @ Raptors Preview: 14/1 Bet Builder - January 2, 2022

The Toronto Raptors host the New York Knicks, with a UK-friendly tip off time of 8:40pm as the NBA goes through the first few days of 2022.

The Knicks are depleted, they are without many of their starting players and come up against a Toronto team that has had injury troubles, but now has their stars back on the court.

We have put together a 14/1 bet builder for the game, with the Raptors dominating proceedings.

NBA Bet Builder: Knicks @ Raptors

Raptors -7.5 points

The Raptors come here on the back of a very strong win over the LA Clippers, beating them by eight points. This should be a much easier task for them, given how depleted this Knicks line up is, and for that reason, we like them to win by eight or more again on Sunday.

Scoring is a strength of Toronto, they are fancied to put points on the board, and we don’t think the Knicks will be able to keep up, especially when they go to their bench and make changes during the game.

Total game points under 210.5

We don’t think the Raptors will have any problems putting points up on the board, but the over/under line may not be hit because we don’t think the Knicks will be able to keep up.

In their last game, RJ Barrett scored 26 points, but no other starter reached double figures. With injury issues and the struggles of those who are playing bigger minutes, we see the Knicks scoring no more than 90 points, and that should be a figure that keeps total scoring under 210.5.

Pascal Siakam over 27.5 combined points and rebounds

When the Raptors recorded their victory over the Clippers, the game was the Siakam and VanVleet show, two players we are backing to shine again.

First up is Siakam, who scored 25 points and 19 rebounds in that one, which would comfortably be enough to hit this line. While that may be too much to ask, a night of around 20+10 looks well within reach, so we like Siakam to get over 27.5 combined in the points and rebounds categories.

Fred VanVleet over 23.5 combined points and rebounds

Fred VanVleet is the second player we like to come up big again. He scored 31 points in the win over the Clippers, which would comfortably be enough to break this line without adding any rebounds.

Again, just like Siakam, asking him to reach the same heights may be a little too much, but it would be no surprise to see him cover this line with just points alone, hitting around 25, with the small number of rebounds helping to take him clear.
